Catching Up

Well I guess it's been a few weeks since I've last been on here & I'm catching some slack from people which I'll keep nameless. So what's been going on in the Moore/Masching household, I'll tell you, a whole lot of nothin. When I left off on the 13th, Bryce had been finishing up his "All Star Tournament" and then they were staying that whole week w/their father, (since he gets them 2wks out of the summer) so of course if I'm not running Bryce or Kamryn somewhere, the babies & I pretty much are bored at home. So then we got the kids back the week the 4-H fair started so between all 6 of us we were pretty much there every night. I took Bryce & Kamryn the first night for wrist band night for the rides while Todd stayed home w/the babies, Tues kids were w/josh so Todd & I took babies out there to look at the animals, wed all 6 of us went out there & Thur Todd took Bryce & Kamryn for demo derby night, while babies & I stayed home, (big shocker there). July 22 (wed) I took all 4 kids to Bloomington since the babies had their 18 month ckup, all is well w/their chunky butts, Olivia is 27lb 10oz & Owen is 26lb 8oz, not a surprise that chunky butt weighs more, she must take after her father (kidding, who am I kidding, I have some junk in my trunk too) so after their Dr. appt I took kids school clothes shopping & wasn't that bad besides the fact that Bryce now wears adult men clothes, I guess I should be happy it's not women's clothes (ha ha) plus he needed football cleats & since he just loves his golf these days needed a gold bag not to mention a few more school supplies so needless to say it was day completely for Bryce & Kamryn & a whole lot of $$$ spent. I take that back I did buy myself 2 pairs of awesome basketball shorts, so I can cover my thighs that are pissing me off, but I won't start that story, I just need something that starts w/L & ends w/O & we all know what that is. Bryce & Kamryn then left on the 24th for their other week w/josh & this time they went to Wisconsin. So if you're starting to get that when Bryce & Kamryn aren't here I'm bored & spend no $$ but when they are home it's bickering & I'm spending $$ somehow. When they return this weekend, next week starts the running all over again w/football & golf practice & the 4-H safety program Wednesday, they both want their friends over & Kamryn is doing a day camp for Brownies. So I hope this has explained what we've done since last time I was on here, I promise not to be gone so long. I'll be venting here soon enough when my wonderful children return home. Bye for now

Another Busy Weekend

Friday night Kamryn had a slumber party @ her friend's house so we all dropped her off around 6ish and then headed to Monical's Pizza because Todd's grandparents called & they were having a pizza party for grandpa Boundy's sister was visiting, so the 5 of us ate dinner w/some of the family members. After dinner we went to Todd's friend (Shanna)to her parents house because she & her husband were home w/the new baby Harper,so we stopped by for a few minutes, what a cutie plus I love the name. Then went home to deal w/baths and bed. Saturday mid morning Todd picked Kamryn up for me at her friends house and then it was time to get Bryce and Kamryn ready for their pictures. I dropped the twins off at my mom's and then headed to pictures @ Riordan Photography in Streator, he does an awesome job and when I get them I will post some. Both kids did good w/poses and then after pictures I dropped Kamryn off at my mom's since Bryce had a game in Marsellies and since we won that game we played another to end up getting 2nd place for the Marsellies Tournament so now we play the Dwight Tournament this Saturday/Sunday. After the game came back to Streator to pick up the three kids and head home. Sunday was a full day of chores for Bryce and Kamryn since they were leaving Monday afternoon for a week w/their dad. They picked up branches that Todd had trimmed, they picked up apples & helped pick out vegetables from the garden, let me tell you they thought they were being murdered by doing sooo many chores but I know when we get them back on Sunday, it will take me a few days for them to get back into their routine. We grilled out for dinner and then did the usual bedtime routine for everyone.

What a Week

Well Tuesday nights "All Star" game didn't go so well, they lost, so they played again tonight (Thursday) and they won, maybe they do better if I'm not there, since Todd, Travis & Trevor went to Joliet to the races. I had Kristy (Todd's mom) lined up to babysit but then they had cancelled tonights game so obviously I cancelled Kristy but then the game was back on again but at 6 p.m. instead of 8 p.m. in Marsellies but I knew Kristy wouldn't be able to be at our place by 5 so I just stayed home w/Olivia and Owen. So now I'll go back to the rest of the week. Wednesday morning Bryce had his first golf lesson at Wolf Creek, he used his friend's clubs and I will admit I wasn't to sure if he'ld like but I picked him up and talked w/Alex (instructor) and he said Bryce did well and Bryce couldn't stop talking about so I'm signing him up for more lessons. Todd found some jr. clubs for him we just need to get them re-gripped and he needs a bag, I don't want to buy new clubs for him yet since he will out grow these clubs soon enough but I told him when he's ready for adult clubs we will get him those, but he's really looking forward to his future lessons, which I'm glad for him. A sport he will use a lifetime, if he chooses. Also, Wednesday my friend Jen White and her 3 girls came from Bloomington to hang out for the day and a few weeks ago Jen had a 31 party so she was also bringing my my goodies. We made homemade pizza and all the kids played great and Jen and I got to chat, this time not on the phone like usual. That night Kamryn and I went to Wal-Mart for the usual household items but we also had to get some b-day gifts for some slumber parties she has coming up, which the first one is tomorrow night, she's is thrilled to be going, I guess it's going to be a spa slumber party (ooh la la), so I'm dropping her off tomorrow evening. While Kamryn and I were at Wal-Mart, Bryce was at the movies w/our friends the Larkins and they saw Transformers, I picked him up at the movies and he said the movie was great, which I'm glad he went w/them because he probably would have had to wait for DVD since to me it doesn't look all that great. Today consisted of playing outside and going for a walk (me walking the twins/bike ride (Bryce-Kamryn) and picking apples, no not to make a pie or applesauce, if we don't pick the apples that keep falling it ruins the grass and has a ton of bugs around, so we each filled a bucket of the apples that have fallen which are rotten. Kamryn had her library time this afternoon and then it was there evening w/their dad and then he brought them home after Bryce's game. I started watching my Netflix DVD, which has been in my junk drawer for probably about a month now, just haven't had the motivation to watch it, but the movie was called "Untraceable" it was a great movie, I was definately on the edge of my seat. Then I put Bryce-Kamryn to bed and now I'm blogging my little fingers off. Tomorrow I have an appointment to take the van for an oil change and then Kamryn to her slumber party. So I'm calling it quits for tonight and I will blog this weekend, we have a few things going on, so I'm sure I'll have some stories to blog.

Monday Madness

Monday morning came around 6ish, which since it's summer vacation, we're not used to. My mom was coming over today to watch Olivia & Owen so some moms could take our older kids to Springfield to Knights Action Park, it's a water park w/some non-water activities. We left Pontiac around 8ish and got to Springfield around 9:30ish, so good timing. It was a really nice place, all the kids had a great time (moms did too) this mom put sunscreen on but is a little or a lot red. We left there around 4ish and stopped at Steak & Shake for dinner and came home to see my babies since they were still sleeping when we had left this morning. I'm not used to being gone all day like that from them but it was really nice to take Bryce & Kamryn w/out Olivia & Owen. Once we got home it was the usual baths, dishes, laundry, bed for kids and since it's Monday, Kamryn and I watch our show "Meet the Newlyweds" So today was a long day in the sun but it was also a great day of fun w/everyone. Wish Pontiac luck for our game tomorrow night, You know I'll keep you posted.

Long Weekend

Well my last blog was on Friday July 3. So here is some exciting things that has had at the Moore/Masching household. To start with Bryce had an "All Star" Tournament @ 1 p.m. on July 4th in Grand Ridge, even though the weather was so wonderful (being my usual sarcastic) my mom and I drive to Grand Ridge & while people are waiting in their vehicles since it wasn't going to stop raining, the coaches finally thought it might be best to cancel the game (you think) so then I drive back home and it didn't even feel like the 4th to me, probably because of the weather. We got invited to 2 parties and I found out that one was cancelled due to the weather since it would be outside but then w/the weather, I really wasn't in the mood to go to a party when it was still raining out and we would have the twins, so everyone could be trapped in a garage while everybody sweated, just didn't sound like a good time to me, so we ended up just staying home w/the twins and grilling out for ourselves, it was actually nice. After Olivia & Owen went to bed, Todd and I watched Grand Torena w/Clint Eastwood (not too bad of a movie but thought the end was sad). Went to bed since Bryce had "All Star" @ 9 a.m. in Grand Ridge, so I knew that we would be playing at least two games since we didn't play the day before. I get to the game and some of the parents had informed me that if we won the game we would play again at 5 p.m. and if we lost we would play at 1 p.m., don't get me wrong I wanted his team to win but I also wanted to play at 1 not 5 but yes we won 4-1 (i think) since I wasn't going to wait around Streator-Grand Ridge area til the next game @ 5 I came back home, so Todd could go mow his lots. So went back to the next game and unfortunately we lost 0-7 (yuck) so Pontiac received a 2nd place trophy for Grand Ridge Tournament. After game we found out our next week tournament will be held Tues & Thurs night in Marseilles @ 8 p.m. After the game Sunday night the kids and I picked up pizza and headed home and then I got 4 kids all cleaned up and put to bed, so I could start packing snacks and swim bags for our fun filled day Monday in Springfield @ Knights Action Park.

Friday!!

Thank goodness it's Friday!! You wouldn't think I would say that since 1 I don't work, so what difference does it make if it's Friday, but w/the week I've had w/my kids (older) Friday is great because this weekend they are w/their dad and I think we needed a break from each other for a few days. I'm sure reading this you're thinking wow she's a real nice mom but the moms who have kids around my older two ages, it's the attitude coming out more and more. I love them to pieces but everyone needs a break from one another. Today has started out great so I'm hoping it continues. The twins and I got up today and ready and we needed to stop at the grocery store for a few things and then I went to go get Bryce and Kamryn from their dads sitter and Kamryn wanted to stay w/Haley, which was fine w/me and Bryce didn't know yet but he's was going w/Kristy (Todd's mom) and her parents along w/Addison & Bailey for a picnic & walk out at Humiston Woods, he was excited for that. Kristy's parents picked him up around 11 a.m. and off all went. During this time the babies and I played outside w/their water table, (best thing Todd ever made for them). Kristy called to let me know they were done w/their lunch & trail and since Josh (Bryce & Kamryn's dad) was off already I asked her to drop Bryce off w/him since this is his weekend. I just laid the babies down for their afternoon nap and since I'm caught up on laundry/cleaning I figured I'll do some blogging. Bryce has another "All Star" game tomorrow @ 1p.m. in Grand Ridge but I saw the weather is suppose to be nice except for that rain coming, so hopefully it won't hit in Grand Ridge. Found out today that if his team wins tomorrow afternoon they plag again that evening @ 5 p.m. (Happy 4th) at a ballpark, but I hope they do great, cookout will wait. So hope everyone has a great 4th and I'm sure I'll be on again this weekend to let you know what goes on around this busy house.

kids kids kids!!

Today was not a good day w/my older two kids, really the last few weeks hasn't been good w/them. I'm really hoping it's just their age but sometimes I wonder. To start w/Bryce 10 has just been getting mouthy a lot more than usual and anytime you ask him to do something so minor, it's like he is sooo overworked, it's ridiculous. Now to my bad day w/my kids on Tuesday, Shoe Carnival was having their "buy 1 get 1 1/2 off deal and I thought ok school is starting soon and they need shoes and so we'll go and make it fun, plus I had somethings to return at the mall and my friend Jen lives in Bloomington and she also is a stay-at-home mom w/3 girls so I thought we could meet at a park w/all the kids and let them be crazy since it was just a beautiful day. I get side tracked, so back to my horrible day w/Bryce and my daughter Kamryn 9. So we get to Shoe Carnival and I started w/Kamryn and she found her pair no problem (didn't have a big selection for girls, which was kind of weird) and then off to Bryce's size but they measured his foot and he needed to move up to adult men's, so while we were checking out the shoes, he was picking out ugly and I do mean ugly shoes, so trying to let him pick out his own shoes, gave him so other ideas, there was probably 6-8 different pairs but he was pissy when he couldn't have that certain pair that was nasty. No appreciation from him at all, finally he picked a pair out of choices I gave him oh yeah and no thank you from Bryce but Kamryn did say right away "thank you". So we leave there and head to the mall, I returned what I needed to return and I saw that Aeropostale was having a good sale and both kids like their style, so we stopped in. I let Kamryn pick out 2 t-shirts, since they buy 1 get 1 free (nice) I didn't even care which 2, anybody who knows me, knows I usually always pick out my kids stuff, they're usually not w/me (love online shopping) then Bryce picks out his polo shirt and what a shocker still no thank u's, this time from either of them. We leave there and I remembered that I needed to use up my American Eagle gift card b4 they started docking my balance, so we went into there and I use my giftcard on them (granted my decision but they need school clothes more than I do) my theory is I like my children to look good plus I don't work, why do I need to dress w/name brand when most of the time, I will have a stain on it by the end of the day, for sure. Again, I'm side tracked. So I'm in there looking around, really wasn't in there too long because babies were getting wild in their stroller. So I finish paying and looking around for Bryce and Kamryn and they are nowwhere to be seen, so I step outside the store, nothing, go back inside to see if I missed them on the couch, nothing, go back outside the store and here they are around the corner by JCPenny playing w/the pay phone. It took all I had in me not to yell at them in the mall but I wasn't going to be one of those moms, they knew when I started talking w/out my lips moving they were in trouble, so they got the lecture that they didn't ask my permission to even leave the store and what about if something or someone tried somethings, I truly think that Bryce thinks that 1 since he's 10 and 2 since he's a tall 10yr old that he's like an adult but he's completly wrong. The kids had known already that after the mall we were planning on meeting Jen and her girls so my theory was, I'm not going to have them ruin my time w/my friend, so I told them that since I spent money on the already on shoes/shirts w/no thank u's that I wasn't going to buy them lunch but I would for the babies and I, they knew there were snacks in the diaper bag they could have but I did get them a tap water (free). We then met w/Jen and her girls at the park and when we were pulling up I realized that I had 4gotten the twins sandals at home, my brain is in overload i think. Todd and I need a vacation!!
